SEM is the umbrella term encompassing the broader array of techniques for promotion on the Internet. The idea being that your content ranks most highly for the searches potential customers make using search engines. This includes the areas below.

1. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO has the added advantage that the 'organic' nature of optimising well-written, relevant content can continue to deliver results day after day after PPC ends. That being said there are many benefits to using PPC, and other techniques, to give your content marketing efforts an initial boost. We don't employ any so-called 'Black Hat' techniques, which may work in the short-term but run the risk of harming your sites ranking and tarnishing your reputation.

2. Pay Per Click advertising (PPC) 

In short, this 'Paid Search' method relies on customers clicking on your advert to direct them to, for example, a specific campaign page on your site or microsite, each click incurs a cost to you, the advertiser. The principal players in this field are Google with their Adwords whilst Bing and Yahoo! are represented by Bing Ads. It's not fancy and some folks think you can 'buy your way' to the results but PPC should be considered as only part of a more well-rounded promotional plan.

3. Social Media Marketing (SMM) and social media presence management
